“It can be a gift to be in a frame of mind where you really want to write something but you don’t know what to write about. It leaves you in a position where you’re ready to discover your material," says instructor Steve Mitchel. “But sometimes the problem is that we so desperately want to write something 'great' that we end up writing nothing at all. Well, the best way to get unstuck is to stop thinking and start writing.”
In this three-hour session, Steve will introduce you to a variety of writing exercises and prompts that you can use and reuse whenever you find yourself blocked. You’ll spend most of the three hours writing, and you’ll come away with renewed confidence in your ability to write at will.
“We won’t focus on finished products,” Steve says. “Instead, in a supportive environment, we’ll learn to trust the process so that we can finally get some sentences down onto the page.”
Whether you’re a beginner trying to write your first piece or an experienced writer stuck in the middle of your story or novel, this class is for you.
